This weekend, Al Forsan International Sports Resort in Abu Dhabi, UAE, hosted a CSI4* show which concluded on Sunday with a 1.55m Grand Prix counting for the Longines Rankings Group B. Spain's Carlos Bosch Cebrian and the 9-year-old mare Jolie van der Berghoeve Kar (Jaguar vd Berghoeve x Kannan) bested a field of 38 horse-and-rider combinations to take the top honours, with a double clear round and a time of 42.25 seconds in the jump-off.
Sweden's Antonia Pettersson Häggström delivered the only other double clear in the Grand Prix riding the 9-year-old gelding Qartoon van de Plataan (Emerald x Toulon) to a time of 45 seconds in the jump-off, finishing in second place. Belgium's Abdel Said took third with Arpege du Ry (Apache d'Adriers x Quat'sous) after clocking the fastest time in the jump-off – 40.92 – but on the expense of a rail down.
Best on behalf on the hosts was Shk. Rashid Bin Ahmed Al Maktoum on Diva DXB (Ogano Sitte x Calvaro) who finished fourth after adding eight faults to his score in the jump-off. Palestine's Vladimir Tuganov completed the top five with Conquida de Revel PS (Conthargos x Quidam de Revel), after recording one time fault in the first round.
