Only two riders were double clear in the CSI3* San Giovanni Grand Prix, and Dutch rider Charlotte Verhagen with Abache HL (Cantos x Lux) was the fastest one of the two. Germany's Marcel Marschall had to settle for second place riding Utopia 48 (Concas x Chambertin) after ending the shortened course in a time that was two seconds slower than Verhagen's.

The fastest four-faulters in the jump-off was Germany's Simone Blum with Alice 355 (Askari x Landrebell) ending in third position ahead of Italy's Gianni Govoni with Antonio (Oklund x Aes Dick Z).
