Edited press release from Spruce Meadows Media
Earlier this week, riders in the FEI CSI2* division at Spruce Meadows competed in the mission of qualifying for Sunday's Canadian Utilities 1.45 Grand Prix. Thirty-five horse-and-rider combinations made it to the North American Ring, where only six posted clear rounds and advanced to the jump-off.
Riding Gamble (Vingino x Indoctro), Conor Swail (IRL) was ready to add another red ribbon to his collection – edging out Nayel Nassar (EGY) and Linguini de La Pomme (Marius Claudius x Tinka's Boy) by two hundredths of a second and galloped to victory. Matthew Sampson (GBR) and MGH Candy Girl (Sligo Candy Boy x Cruising) completed the podium, almost a second slower than Swail.
