Daniel Deusser continues his winning form in Fontainebleau

After topping Friday's feature class in Fontainebleau, France, with Killer Queen VDM, Germany's Daniel Deusser continued his winning form on Saturday when besting a field of 30 horse-and-rider combinations in the CSI5* 1.55m Communauté d'agglomération du Pays de Fontainbleau – counting for the Longines Ranking Group C – with Scuderia 1918 Tobago Z (Otangelo x Mr. Blue). 

With a double clear round in 48.14 seconds, the former world number one took the win ahead of Rene Lopez Lizarazo (COL) and Londina (London x Chacco-Blue) in the 1.55m competition jumped over two rounds with 0.71 seconds separating the two. Mark McAuley (IRL) and Destinee de Vains (Untouchable 27 x Tlaloc M) placed third with a time of 51.83 as the third double clear of the class, while four faults in 46.45 and 47.88 left Kevin Staut (FRA) and Beau de Laubry Z (Bisquet Balou C x Nabab de Reve) and Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) aboard Moya vd Bisschop (Darco x Utrillo vd Heffinck) in fourth and fifth respectively. 

The second CSI5* class of the day, the 1.50m Prix Ecole Militaire d'Equitation – counting for Longines Ranking Group D – went to Pius Schwizer (SUI) and Scarlina de Tiji Z (Scendro x Kannan). With a time of 60.04, the former world number one was the fastest of the 37 participating pairs, followed by Koen Vereecke (BEL) and Oilily de Muze (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Ramiro Z) in second in 60.08.

Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) and Citadin du Chatellier (L'Arc de Triomphe x Diamant de Semilly) placed third in 60.37 ahead of Antoine Ermann (FRA) and Odin Van'T Hanegoor (Kiekeboe x Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) in fourth in 60.44 and Philippe Rozier (FRA) aboard Le Coultre de Muze (Presley Boy x Vigo d'Arsouilles) in fifth in 64.08.
