Two Italians topped the podium in the CSI3* Grand Prix of San Giovanni in Marignano. Daniele Augusto Da Rios won the class aboard For Passion (For Pleasure x Rio Branco) while Massimo Grossato finished second on Lazzaro Delle Schiave (Acodetto x Glucksgriff).
Close to a second separated the two riders in the jump-off of this 1.50m class that saw ten of the 36 riders go clear over the first round track with four repeating their clean sheets against the clock.
Two French riders followed in third and fourth: Michel Hecart on Sire Jag de Courthoe (Jaguar Mail x Mister Sartilly) and Geoffroy Bouret on Sunshine de Roy (Tinka's Boy x Galoubet A). Italy's own Juan Carlos Garcia had the fastest time in the jump-off aboard Vox Dei (Kannan x Cook du Midour), but on the expense of four faults.
