Red carpet roll-out for the stars of showjumping

The Brussels Stephex Masters 2018 kicks off next week, on Wednesday 29th of August running until Sunday 2nd of September and the world's best riders will once again arrive for this 5th edition of the event.

The Brussels Stephex Masters will offer top sport, with the CSI5* competitions as the main attraction as well as the CSI3* Top Series, the CSI2* Super Cup, the CSI1* Prestige League and the Future Stars for 7- and 8-year-old horses on the program.

The red carpet will be rolled out for world no. one Harrie Smolders (NED), world no. two Peder Fredricson (SWE), world no. three Eric Lamaze (CAN), world no. four Marcus Ehning (GER), world no. six Daniel Deusser (GER), world no. seven Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and world no. ten Kent Farrington (USA).

Other notable guests include 2012 Olympic Champion and double World Cup Champion from 2015 and 2016 Steve Guerdat (SUI), World Cup Champion from 2011 Christian Ahlmann (GER), Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping title-holder Scott Brash (GBR) and living legend John Whitaker (GBR) whose merits could fill a history book.

The entire Belgian team for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon will be at the Brussels Stephex Masters: Niels Bruynseels, Pieter Devos, Nicola Philippaerts, Jos Verlooy and Gregory Wathelet.

Expectations will be high for Bruynseels, who won the Brussels Stephex Masters' Rolex Grand Prix in 2016 and 2017 as well as at Knokke Hippique this year.
