Ireland's Emily Turkington and the 9-year-old gelding Cornet (Cornet's Prinz x Clarimo) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix of Twente powered by Equestrian Park Erve Maathuis, Provincie Overijssel and Auto Haarhuis in Geesteren, the Netherlands.
A total of 13 horse-and-rider-combinations out of the 43 at start cleared their way into the deciding jump-off, where Turkington and Cornet were the quickest, taking home the win with a time of 41.42 seconds. Victor Mariano Luminatti (BRA) and Idette (Eldorado van de Zeshoek x Namelus R) had to settle for the runner-up position when the clock stopped on 42.18 for the Brazilian rider, while his compatriot Bernardo Cardoso de Resende Alves (BRA) and El Torreo de Muze (Taran de La Pomme x Vigo D Arsouilles) placed third in 42.63. Meike Zwartjens (NED) and Twister de La Pomme (Darco x For Pleasure) finished fourth in 42.83 and Mark Martens (NED) fifth in 43.64 aboard Kinmar Quality Hero (Obos Quality 004 x Moujik de Souhan).
