Sweden's Evelina Tovek and Moeboetoe v/d Roshoeve (Der Senaat 111 x Poleander, bred by Roshoeve) won Friday's CSI5* 1.50m at Al Shaqab in Doha, Qatar – where the inaugural Doha Tour has moved onto its third week of competition.
The 1.50m class was the second qualifier for Saturday's Grand Prix and counted for the Longines Ranking Group C. With a time of 38.46 seconds in a jump-off between eleven horse-and-rider-combinations, Tovek topped a starting field of 20 pairs.
Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) and Atome des Etisses (Mylord Carthago x Quidam de Revel, bred by Jean-Francois Batillat) took the runner-up spot in 38.78, while Rikke Belinda Barker (DEN) and Icloud (Calmando 3 x Clearway, bred by Erja Aholainen) placed third in 42.79. Amelia Douglass (AUS) and Quel Filou 16 (Quiwi Dream x Lerano 2, bred by Bernd Mohr) finished fourth, followed by Khaled Almobty (KSA) aboard Diana du Plevau Z (Dieu Merci T&L x Kashmir van'T Schuttershof, bred by Marc Palm) in fifth.
The second Longines Ranking class of the day, a CSI5* 1.45m counting for the Longines Ranking Group D, saw eight horse-and-rider-combinations line up for the challenge and it was Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) and Dancing Wolf O.L. (Mylord Carthago x Contender) that took the win ahead of Antoine Ermann (FRA) and Odin van'T Hanegoor (Kiekeboe x Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) in second and Gerfried Puck (AUT) aboard Equitron Ornaat V (Ut Majeur de Brecey x Landetto) in third.
