The French riders continued their good form in the Grand Palais on Saturday, with Olivier Perreau taking the top honours in the biggest class of the day – the 1.60m Le Saut Hermès which was a competition with two rounds.

Perreau produced a lightning fast second round, taking all the risk on the last line with the tightest of turns to the penultimate upright before racing down the stretch to the final oxer stopping the clock at 42.72 seconds – making the Grand Palais-crowd go wild.

Just like on Friday, Mark McAuley (IRL) on Miebello (Flyinge Quite Easy 958 x Cardento 933) finished as runners-up. With a time of 46.09 seconds in round two, they were the only other pair to deliver two clears but had to see themselves beaten by home hero Perreau. McAuley's compatriot Denis Lynch (IRL) took the third place on Gun Powder (Econoon van het Lindehof x Caretano Z) in 51.78 seconds, and with a time penalty in each round.

The 1.50m Prix GL events went to Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) and Cataleya 3 (Cachas x Cassini II). With a clear round in 61.37 seconds, Philippaerts left Alberto Zorzi (ITA) and Danique (Zento x Hamlet) behind him in 61.76 seconds. Third place went to home rider Kevin Staut (FRA) on Edesa´s Cannary (Caretino 2 x Lavall I) with a time of 62.22 seconds.

Pius Schwizer (SUI) took home the win in the 1.45 Prix du 24 Faubourg accumulator class. Aboard PSG Future (Cash And Carry x Lorentin I), Schwizer picked up the maximum amount of points in a time of 44 seconds. Roger Yves Bost (FRA) followed 1.07 seconds behind for the hosts, riding Castleforbes Talitha (Cardenio x Baloubet du Rouet) followed by his compatriot Edward Levy (FRA) on Rebeca LS (Rebozo la Silla x Cassini I).
