Austria's Gerfried Puck and Equitron Naxcel V (Balou du Rouet x Landetto, bred by Leo Vermeiren) won the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix at the 2024 Doha Tour in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday.
With a time of 41.01 in a jump-off between six horse-and-rider-combinations, Puck bested a field of fifteen competitors. Australia's Jamie Kermond and Yandoo Oaks Constellation (Conquistador x Jalisco B, bred by Oaks Sport Horses/Alice Cameron) took the runner-up spot in 41.67, while his compatriot Edwina Tops-Alexander and Corelli de Mies (Calvaro F.C. x Centauer Z, bred by Yeguada de Mies) placed third after clocking a time of 45.42 seconds.
French rider Ines Joly and Pegasus Jataki (Jamal vd Heffinck x Waitaki, bred by P. Leenen) finished fourth with the last double clear of the class, followed by Denmark’s Rikke Belinda Barker aboard Tabalou PS (Taloubet Z x Balou du Rouet, bred by Gestüt Lewitz) in fifth with four faults in the jump-off.
