Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) won Tuesday's CSI4* 1.50m two-phase class in Vilamoura, Portugal – beating a field of 126 horse-and-rider combinations.
With a time of 31.88 in phase two, Williams and his 15-year-old gelding had 0.37 seconds separating them from runners-up Eduardo Alvarez Aznar (ESP) and Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Margot (L’Arc de Triomphe x Apache d'Adriers). John Whitaker (GBR) followed in third place with Unick du Francport (Zandor x Helios de La Cour II), only 0.05 behind Alvarez Aznar. Vladimir Tuganov (RUS) finished fourth with Suspens Floreval (Clinton x Damiro B), while fifth place went to Lily Attwood (GBR) on Cor-Leon Vd Vlierbeek Z (Calvaro Z x Omar).
