Switzerland’s Barbara Schnieper and the 9-year-old mare Licolle (Genius x Eldorado vd Zeshoek) took a home win in Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Ascona Grand Prix presented by Bancastato | Bellinzona | In Memoriam Manuela Bacchi.
Crossing the finish line in 42.86 in a jump-off of four, the current world number 84 took the win ahead of Brazil’s João Victor Castro Aguiar Gomes De Lima and Cashpaid J&F (Casall x Chicago Z) in second in 42.98. Nicolas Sers (FRA) and Espoir de la Chesnee (President x Looping d’Elle) placed third in 44.63, while a fence down in 48.94 left Elia Simonetti (ITA) and Li la Bo (Uriko x Casall) fouth. As the fastest four-faulter from round one, Niklaus Rutschi (SUI) and Kingstone B (Warrant x F.A.N. Holland) finished fifth.
