Saturday's CSI4* 1.45m Small Grand Prix L'Agence Fences at the Longines Deauville Classic ended with a popular home win for Margaux Rocuet (FRA) and Iliade KDW Z (Indoctro x Brahmann St Simeon). Aboard the 14-year-old mare, Rocuet topped a field of 93 horse-and-rider combinations after a jump-off that counted thirteen.
Stopping the clock on 33.89 seconds in the jump-off, Rocuet was 0.36 seconds faster than runner-up Robin Lesqueren (FRA) riding the 8-year-old Giorgio d'Ellipse (Prestigio LS x Kannan). Nicolas Layec (FRA) rode Best of Iscla (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) to a third place, clocking a time of 34.80 seconds to make it an all French-podium in this class counting for the Longines Ranking Group D.
Ireland's Billy Twomey finished fourth aboard Diego del Caribe (Kannan x Quidam de Revel) with a time of 35.59 seconds, followed by his compatriot Mark McAuley on Fury Nocturne (Volnay du Boisdeville x Jeff d'Or) in fifth in 36.67 seconds.
