Mario Stevens (GER) and the 10-year-old mare Starissa (Stakkato Gold x Quidam's Rubin) took a home win in the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix of Lower Saxony presented by Volkswagen AG in Braunschweig, Germany.
Only five horse-and-rider combinations managed to produce clears in round two of the Grand Prix, where Stevens was the fastest with a time of 36.53 seconds. Johannes Ehning (GER) and Classic Donna (Mylord Carthago x Cento) followed in 39.85 seconds to take the runner-up spot, while Hillary Scott (AUS) and Oak's Milky Way (Clearway x Jalisco B) finished third in 39.90 seconds. Stefan Engbers (GER) and Baju NRW (Balou du Rouet x Calido I) ended fourth with a time of 41.43, while fifth place went to Lars Bak Andersen (DEN) and Carl-Heinz B. (Chacco-Blue x Quality 9) after the pair clocked a time of 43.79.
