Home win for Valentin Besnard in the CSI4* Grand Prix of Rouen

Sunday, 28 November 2021
CSI4* Rouen 2021

Valentin Besnard (FRA) took a home win in Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix in Rouen, France, riding the 10-year-old stallion Beau Gosse du Park (Quaprice Boimargot Quincy x Kannan*Gfe).

Eight of the fifty horse-and-rider combinations made it through to the jump-off after a clear round, but Besnard was the only one who managed to repeat his clean sheet against the clock – taking home the win. With a time that was ten seconds faster, but with four faults, Gilles Thomas (BEL) had to settle for the second place with Luna van het Dennehof (Prince van de Wolfsakker x Quidam de Revel), while the third place went to Kevin Jochems (NED) and Emmerton (Silvio I x Sam R.) who also finished with four faults in the jump-off. The hosts came strong in force, Gregory Cottard (FRA) and Bibici (Norman Pre Noir x Nelfo du Mesnil) finished fourth while Cedric Hurel (FRA) and Fantasio Floreval Z (Florian de La Vie*Bazooka x Clinton) finished fifth – both with four faults in the jump-off.
