There are three different kinds of stables at the showground during the Winter Equestrian Festival - the stables for the national classes, the FEI stables and the quarantaine stables. Some horses stay permanent for all weeks in the national stables, and most of the riders and grooms decorate to make it feel a bit like home. When it comes to the FEI stables the horses that are competing during a CSI-week have to be in the stables from Tuesday lunch and then stay there throughout the competition. The riders that compete in the international classes week after week can mostly keep the same boxes so the grooms can make them ready once at the beginning of the festival and then leave things there even when there are no horses present.
