Press release from Knokke Hippique

From the 23rd of June to the 11th of July the Belgian coast will be the backdrop of the sixth edition of Knokke Hippique. The prestigious showjumping event promises a star-studded line up of the world’s best riders who will bring their finest horses to compete with. Aiming for the most coveted victory: the winning title in the CSI5* Rolex Grand Prix.

This year’s event will be organized in a corona proof fashion. This means that unfortunately spectators are not allowed at the venue. However, the good news is that the level of sport will continue to be unprecedented, and everyone will still be able to enjoy it. All the action can be followed via a live stream on Clipmyhorse and the Knokke Hippique social media channels will feature all the highlights and provide peeks behind the scenes.

The riders that will compete in the first week of Knokke Hippique are amongst others the leader of the World Ranking list Daniel Deusser (GER). Reigning European Champion Martin Fuchs (SUI) and reigning World Champion Simone Blum (GER) will also be in attendance. The only Rolex Grand Slam of Showjumping winner to date, Scott Brash (GBR) will also be in attendance, as is 2012 Olympic Champion Steve Guerdat (SUI).

Other renowned riders that are part of the top 30 of the ranking list include McLain Ward (USA), Marlon Zanotelli (BRA), Marcus Ehning (GER), Kevin Staut (FRA), Eric Lamaze (CAN), Maikel van der Vleuten (NED), Max Kühner (AUT), Henrik von Eckermann (SWE), Harrie Smolders (NED), Emanuelle Gaudiano (ITA) and American super stars Jessica Springsteen and Laura Kraut. Last but not least Belgiums top riders will delight with performances by Jos Verlooy, Niels Bruynseels, Pieter Devos, Jérôme Guery, Gregory Wathelet, Zoe Conter and brothers Nicola and Olivier Philippaerts.

Three times is a charm in Knokke with three weeks of showjumping in three show arenas at all levels. Varying from the absolute top in the CSI5* to the CSI3* Top Series, CSI2* Super Cup, CSI1* Prestige League and CSIYH Future Stars. To view the complete program visit www.knokkehippique.com.
