After opening the weekend at CSI4* Jumping International St-Lô, France, with a home win on Thursday, Julien Epaillard (FRA) and Caracole de La Roque made it a double on Friday, taking the top honours in the CSI4* 1.50m Prix Ville de St-Lô & St-Lô Agglo.
Eight horse-and-rider-combinations out of the 54 at start cleared the first-round track and joined the deciding jump-off, where Epaillard – the current world number three – was the quickest, stopping the clock on 34.56. Penelope Leprevost (FRA) and Texas (Tornesch 1042 x Robin Z) had to settle for the runner-up position with a time of 35.38, while Patrick Guimbal (FRA) on Bagatelle de Granlieu (Diamant de Semilly x Quick Star) took the third place when crossing the finish line in 37.17. Gregory Cottard (FRA) on Bibici (Norman Pre Noir x Nelfo du Mesnil) placed fourth, while fifth went to Przemyslaw Konopacki (POL) on Home-Run (Spartacus TN x Concorde).
