Julien Epaillard (FRA) and his 9-year-old home-bred Donatello d'Auge (Jarnac x Hello Pierville) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Hubside Store Grand Prix presented by Indexia at Hubside Jumping Grimaud in St. Tropez – recording their second victory of the week at the French venue.
Eight horse-and-rider-combinations out of the 40 at start cleared the first-round track set by Cedric Longis (FRA). With a time of 39.64 in the jump-off, Epaillard – the current world number three – proved unbeatable once again, taking the win ahead of his compatriot Nicolas Delmotte on Citadin du Chatelier in second, 0.37 behind the winning time.
The hosts were in great form, with Philippe Rozier (FRA) on Le Coultre de Muze (Presley Boy x Vigo d'Arsouilles) placing third, while Rik Hemeryck (BEL) and Navarro van het Eelshof (Jappelloup vh Dauwhof x Poleander) slotted in fourth ahead of another French pair – Harold Boisset on T'Obetty du Domaine (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Diams du Grasset) in fifth.
