Press release from Horses & Dreams
Horses & Dreams meets France finished with a super exciting round of jumping, the Prize of Deutsche Kreditbank AG, also the first leg of the BEMER Riders Tour. And it was by no means easy to jump a clear round today, only five combinations went clear, among them Ludger Beerbaum and Casello (Casall x Carolus I).
However, the 13 best riders of the first round were allowed to compete in the winning round and so riders that had a fault in the earlier course also had a chance to win.
And the final round was tough. Beerbaum praised the winner, “I think I could have tried the course three times today, but Katrin was simply unbeatable.”
Riding the ten-year-old daughter of Calido, Caleya (Calido I x Lancer II), Eckermann took it easy in the first round and accepted a penalty point, “to keep the horse calm”.
The calm before the storm you could say, the pair nailed each turn and distance as well as each fence in the final round. The competition had no chance. Second place went to a representative of the partner country, Julien Anquetin, on Gravity Of Greenhill (Nabab de Reve x Conterno-Grande), followed by Beerbaum in third place.
Katrin Eckermann has taken the provisional lead in the BEMER Riders Tour, the next leg is in Redefin.
