Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Team H5 Grand Prix at Sentower Park in Belgium went to the current world number seven, USA's Kent Farrington and the 9-year-old Myla (Crunch 3 x Quadros).
Crossing the finish line in 37.46 in a jump-off between fourteen horse-and-rider combinations, Farrington and Myla took the win ahead of Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) and Hantano (Quasimodo Z x Numero Uno) in second in 38.14. Sanne Thijssen (NED) and Con Quidam RB (Quinar Z x Cardino 5) completed the podium in third with a time of 39.37 seconds.
Michael Duffy (IRL) and Claptonn Mouche (Conrad x Elan de La Cour) finished fourth in 39.41, and Emanuele Camilli (ITA) fifth in 39.76 aboard Chacco's Girlstar (Chacco-Blue x Sandro Boy).
"Myla is nine and I’ve had her since last summer," Farrington commented to World of Showjumping. "I have spent time getting to know her and to get comfortable with each other. We started showing this winter, she has been great and this is her first Grand Prix win!"
"Sentower was a great place to come with a few younger horses I have as this was my first time showing them," Farrington continued. "It's a horseman’s facility with good footing and large warm-up areas, so it was the perfect place to get started. To leave with Myla getting her first Grand Prix win was bonus!"
