USA's Kent Farrington won Thursday's main class at CSI5* Jumping Antwerpen, a 1.55m competition with a jump-off.
Fourty riders had lined up for the class, and thirteen of them moved on to the jump-off after clear rounds. Against the clock, Farrington was the fastest aboard the 11-year-old gelding Sherkan d'Amaury (Kannan x Quick Star) taking home the top prize of 20 394 Euro.
0.2 second was all that separated Farrington from runner-up Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA), riding Casallo Z (Casall x Carthago Z). In third place followed Penelope Leprevost (FRA) on Vagabond de la Pomme (Vigo D Arsouilles Stx x For Pleasure), almost a second behind the winning pair. Romain Duguet (SUI) finished fourth on Tipsy du Terral (Toulon x Quat'Sous), while fifth place went to Pieter Devos (BEL) who was best of the home riders aboard Claire Z (Clearway x Coronado).
Earlier in the day, home hero Jerome Guery won the CSI5* 1.45 competition in two phases aboard Icarus (Douglas x Sioux de Baugy).
