Khaled Almobty (KSA) and the 10-year-old gelding Jaguar King WD (VDL Zirocco Blue x VRH Toulon) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix at Longines Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands.
With the only double clear round of the competition and a time of 36.07 seconds in the jump-off of five, Almobty and Jaguar King took the win. Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER) and Cellagon Cascais (Colestus x Carrico) finished second on four faults after clocking a time of 37.03 in the jump-off.
“I am very, very happy with this win," Almobty said in a press release from Longines Tops International Arena. "I am looking forward to doing the rest of the Summer Festivals here in Valkenswaard. It's amazing how everything is organized here.”
“Today was a special day with winning the 4* Grand Prix with my Jaguar King," Almobty continued. "This is the last class for us together before we go to Paris. And it ended pretty well. I am looking forward to the rest of the shows with my other horses.”
Rodrigo Pessoa (BRA) and Starman (Orgrion des Champs x Calido) placed third with four penalties in 37.85 seconds, while the same penalty score in 38.18 and 42.91 respectively left Antoine Ermann (FRA) and Comic Star (Levistan x Diamant de Semilly) to fourth and Willem Greve (NED) to fifth aboard Grandorado TN N.O.P. (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Carolus H).
