The Qatar Equestrian Federation Cup 2026 at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Centre in Doha, Qatar, concluded on Sunday with the CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix – a competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group AA.
Recording another big win in Doha, Kristen Vanderveen (USA) and Bull Run’s Jireh (Uriko x Colman) – a pair that currently top the FEI Combinations in Jumping Ranking for 2026 – took the top honours after stopping the clock on 44.07 in a jump-off between four horse-and-rider combinations. Besting a field of 17, they took the win ahead of the host nation’s Bassem Mohammed on Wathnan Issem (Quality Time TN x Clinton), who took the runner-up spot only 0.06 seconds behind the winner. A fence down in 43.52 left Abdullah Alsharbatly (KSA) on Skorphults Baloutendro (Contendros 2 x Balou du Rouet) to third.
“Doha Equestrian Tour has been an incredible experience for me," Kristen Vanderveen said in a press release from Doha Equestrian Tour. "It’s my first time in Doha, and it's like nothing I've ever experienced before. I brought a lot of horses, and they all really developed throughout this entire Tour. And it was special to get to finish the Tour with a big win here at the end.”
