Leprevost and Guillet on top at Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show

The French riders dominated the first day of  the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show in St Tropez. by taking the first two spots both in the 1,45 class as well as in the 1,50 class.

The biggest class of the day was won by Penelope Leprevost with Urano de Cartigny (Diamant de Semilly x Double Espoir), after being the fastest one of the seven clears in the jump-off. Simon Delestre (FRA) ended up in the runner-up position riding Hermes Ryan (Hugo Gesmeray x Ryon D’Anzex) while Jos Verlooy (BEL) and Philippe Rozier (FRA) had to share the third place after ending the jump-off in the exact same time. Verlooy rode the 12-year-old Caracas (Casall x Colman) and Rozier the 12-year-old Rahotep de Toscane (Quidam de Revel x Laudanum). Fifth place went to the Belgian rider Nicola Philippaerts with H&M Zilverstar T (Berlin x Cavalier).

Earlier in the day Laurent Guillet won the 1,45 class in two phases with Sultan du Chateau (Kannan x Galoubet A) ahead of countryman Julien Epaillard with Cristallo A LM (Casall x Corofino I). Spain ended third thanks to Sergio Alvarez Moya with Iron Man 111 (Chatman x Capitol I) and fourth place went to John Whitaker (GBR) with Crumley (Cassus x As di Villagana) while Jerome Guery (BEL) and Garfield de Tiji Des Templiers (Quasimodo Z x Goldspring de Lauzelle) ended fifth.
