Italian rider Lorenzo de Luca was not to beat in the winning round of Friday's CSI5* 1.55m Maxinos Competition Championat of St. Moritz. With Stephex Stables' 10-year-old Try Time-gelding Limestone Grey, De Luca took the lead with a time of 41.00 seconds and could not be defeated in this Longines Ranking class.

None of the other 18 riders in the winning round managed to be faster. Germany's Marc Bettinger and his stallion Balozino (Baloubet du Rouet x Zeus Ang.N) were also clear, but with a time of 43.33 they had to settle for the second place. Third was Austrian rider Max Kühner with Cielito Lindo 2 (Clarimo x Stauffenber).

Earlier in the day, Irish rider Bertram Allen and the only 8-year-old Izzy By Picobello (Cicero Z x Capriano) shared the victory with Switzerland's Jane Richard Philipps with Pablo de Virton (Andiamo x Kashmir van't Schuttershof) as well as French rider Jerome Hurel with his stallion Urano (Baloubet Du Rouet x Kannan) as all three finished with a time of 27.44 seconds in this 1.45m two-phase Kulm Hotel St. Moritz Trophy.
