Marc Dilasser (FRA) and the 12-year-old gelding Arioto du Gevres (Diamant de Semilly x Qualisco III) won Sunday's CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix in Gorla Minore, Italy.
Seven of the fifty horse-and-rider combinations in the class moved on to the jump-off, where Dilasser was the fastest with a time of 48.61 seconds. Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) finished in runner-up position with Cochello (Casall x Cartani 4), stopping the clock at 49.91 seconds. The third place went to Thibault Philippaerts (BEL) who had the last double clear of the class with Broadway de Mormoulin (Kannan x For Pleasure), with a time of 50.83 seconds in the jump-off. Paul Estermann (SUI) on Fleur Sinaa-A (Cardento x Indorado) had a fast time with his 47.06 seconds, but with four faults the Swiss rider had to settle for fourth, followed by Joseph Stockdale (GBR) in fifth on Equine America Cacharel (Cachas x Quinar) that also finished with four faults in the jump-off.
