Friday’s iteration of international show jumping competition on July 17, 2026, at HITS Hudson Valley in Saugerties, New York, featured the $31,020 Go Rentals CSI3* Jumper Classic to set the tone for the day’s events. The class is one of numerous highlights in the action-packed HITS Hudson Valley Jumping Tour™ — the hugely popular three-week series, which includes a weekly CSI3* division, as well as a World Champion Hunter Rider (WCHR) designation during the second week. No stranger to the winner’s circle at the elite venue, it was all eyes on Mark Bluman (ISR) and S & L Eyes 4U (Jenny de la Cense x Kannan) as they galloped away with the win.

A baker’s dozen of top horse-and-rider combinations took on the first-round track crafted by FEI Level 4 course designer Anderson Lima (MEX). Seven of those duos jumped fault-free to advance to the immediate jump-off. Toward the end of the order, Bluman, as he often does, stepped on the gas for an unbeatable time of 31.85 seconds, becoming the second victorious Bluman of the week after his cousin Daniel Bluman (ISR) earned the top two placings in Thursday’s $62,480 CSI3* Welcome Stake.

“We are a very united family; we like to do everything together,” expressed Mark Bluman, who is one of several HITS athletes slated to compete at the all-important FEI World Championships in Aachen, Germany, in August. “It’s really nice to be able to share some horse shows, especially when the calendar is so busy during the year and we cannot always be together. These weeks where we are close to home at this amazing HITS facility are great to be able to share all together.”

S&L Eyes 4U is a relatively new mount for Mark Bluman, who only took over the ride in January. Even so, the pair have already made a habit of tallying quick and clear rounds for some impressive placings.

“She’s a fighter,” said Mark Bluman of the eight-year-old Selle Français mare owned by S & L Farms. “She’s only eight, so she’s still developing, but she’s a horse that, wherever she ends up, is going to be very competitive.”

Mary Rose Canterbury (USA) was the closest to catching Mark Bluman’s time, stopping the clock in 32.93 seconds aboard Zuperman MT (Corporal VDL x Cassiano), the 11-year-old Swedish Warmblood gelding owned by 5C Ranch and Minerals LLC. Ariana Marnell (USA) crossed the timers in 33.20 seconds for third place with Dagny (Durrant x Verdi), the 12-year-old Swedish Warmblood mare owned by Alison Firestone LLC, and additionally claimed fourth on her second ride Navaar (Tonixe x Deauville van T&L), the 13-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding. Canterbury also jumped a double-clear effort in 34.67 seconds with her second ride, Kenya RM (Kannan x Diamant de Semilly), an 11-year-old Mexican Sport Horse mare also owned by 5C Ranch and Minerals LLC, to complete the top five placings.
