Friday's biggest class at the CSI4* De Kraal International – the 1.50m Tal Milstein Prize counting for the Longines Ranking – was won by Brazilian rider Marlon Modolo Zanotelli with Rock’n Roll Semilly (Diamant de Semilly x Apache d’Adriers). The 28-year-old rider stepped on the accelerator and beat the time set by Britain’s Jessica Mendoza by no less than 2.26 seconds.
Mendoza was in the lead for quite some time, but had to settle for second place with her 15-year-old mare Spirit T (Tornado x Carnaval Drum). Gilles Dunon upheld Belgium’s honors and finished in third with Fou de Toi VD Keihoeve (Toulon x Melkior du Montois).
British rider William Funnell was the winner of the CSI4* 1.45 DCM De Ceuster Meststoffen Prize. The 50-year-old rider was second last to go, and took over the lead from Germany’s Holger Hetzel. Funnell was clear in 63.82 seconds with his 13-year-old KWPN gelding Billy Angelo (Tangelo Van De Zuuthoeve x Kroongraaf).
