Wednesday night’s jumper competition at Devon Horse Show 2025 concluded with another exciting FEI CSI4* event—the $38,700 1.45m Main Line Challenge, sponsored by The Philadelphia Trust. Thirty-five horse-and-rider pairs from seven countries entered the Dixon Oval to take on a challenging course designed by Anderson Lima.
Lima presented a 12-obstacle, 14-effort track split into two phases, testing both power and speed. A total of 21 entries delivered double-clear rounds across both phases. Ultimately, it was McLain Ward (USA) aboard La Serra (Casall x Lacros) who led the field with a winning time of 31.05 seconds. Kaitlin Campbell (USA) and Bull Run's Hesed (Christian 25 x Lord Z) finished second, with a time of 31.76 seconds, followed by Jessica Springsteen (USA) and Galaxy Girl (Casanova x Cypriano) in third in 31.91 seconds.
On coming back to Devon, Ward said, “We have these horses here at home, and I have Callas, a long time partner here, so these are important events, and I enjoy them. For these developing horses, you know, it’s good for them to get the experience, as well.”
