Germany's Michael Jung and Fischerchelsea (Check In 2 x Argent) won Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Studbook Zangersheide Grand Prix at the inaugural Zangersheide International at Sentower Park, Belgium.
Nine horse-and-rider-combinations out of the 48 pairs at start delivered a clear in round one and joined the deciding jump-off, where Jung and Fischerchelsea were the quickest. Stopping the clock on 36.72, the German pair took their second win of the weekend, after also topping Friday's Grand Prix qualifier.
Barbara Schnieper (SUI) and Escoffier (Lord Z x Numero Uno) took the runner-up position with a time of 37.60, while Thibeau Spits (BEL) and King Van Essene (Calido I x Chacco-Blue) placed third in 38.17. Annelies Vorsselmans (BEL) and Kurly V/D Gorten (Thunder Vd Zuuthoeve x Celano) finished fourth in 39.13, while Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) and Heureuse Nouvelle WH (Cardento 933 x Indoctro) had to settle for the fifth place after clocking the fastest time of the class – 35.69 – but recording four faults.
