Friday’s CSI5* 1.55m Prix Hermès Sellier at the 2025-edition of CHI Al Shaqab presented by Longines in Doha, Qatar, went to Great Britain’s Millie Allen and the 9-year-old gelding Clearround Il Mondo Z (Comme Il Faut x Clearway).
With a time of 37.74 seconds in a jump-off of nineteen, Allen and Clearround Il Mondo Z took the top honours – besting a field of 45 ahead of Germany’s Hans-Dieter Dreher and Elysium (VDL Zirocco Blue x Coronado 3) in second in 37.81 in this competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group A.
Italy’s Emanuele Gaudiano on Chacco’s Girlstar (Chacco-Blue x Sandro Boy) completed the podium in third with Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP) on Jup (Carrera VDL x Siverstone), with both pairs finishing on 37.94. Julien Anquetin (FRA) aboard Fulldollar de Raygade (El Torreo de Muze x Dollar du Murier) took the fifth spot in 38.12.
Earlier during the day, the second CSI5* class of the day, a 1.45m counting for the Longines Ranking Group D, went to Oliver Lazarus (RSA) and Miss Paris (Messenger x Caspar) ahead of Olivier Perreau (FRA) and Frisky de La Fontaine (Diamant de Semilly x Darco) in second and Christopher Kläsener (GER) aboard Cascadello Boy RM (Cascadello x Balou du Rouet) in third.
