Press release from 1/ST Split Rock Jumping Tour Santa Anita
Nicola Philippaerts (BEL) and his 9-year-old gelding, Gadget Mouche (Andiamo Semilly x Consul DL Vie Z) added another Grand Prix victory to their resume with a win in the $125,000 CSI3* 1.50m Grand Prix in Santa Anita (USA). Foot speed and finesse from Philippaerts and his mount stopped the clocks at a quick 36.01, followed by Luis Sabino Gonclaves (POR) aboard Scoop De Septon Z (Hunters Scendro x Echo Van'T Spieveld), who tripped the timers at 38.77. Peter Petschenig (AUT) and Ennebel Van Het Posthuijs (Numero Uno x Argentinus) rounded out the podium with a third-place finish in 39.39.
“He (Gadget Mouche) jumped the last two Grand Prix’s and won them. He is such a nice horse to ride with fantastic character,” said Philippaerts. “I couldn’t be happier."
