The 2024-edition of Jumping International Saint-Lô in France started with a win for the hosts on Thursday, with Nicolas Layec (FRA) and Best of Iscla (Diamant de Semilly x Kannan) taking the top honours in the CSI4* 1.50m Prix France Etalons, the first qualifier for the Grand Prix and a competition counting for the Longines Rankings group D.
With a time of 59.01, the French duo took the win ahead of Jérôme Guery (BEL) and Great Britain V (Nabab de Reve x Carolus H) in second in 60.00 and Penelope Leprevost (FRA) on Barbie de la Roque Z (For Hero de Hus x Heartbreaker) in third in 60.72. Patrick Guimbal (FRA) and Mistral D (Cornet's Prinz x Chopin de Lauzelle) finished fourth in 61.22 and Jacques Helmlinger (FRA) aboard Tonic des Mets (Ogrion des Champs x Damoiseau d'Or) fifth in 61.47.
