It was very close between the top two in the CSI3* Grand Prix in Béthune with Great Britain's Nicole Pavitt being slightly faster than Ireland's Anthony Condon to take the victory. Pavitt rode the 11-year-old Shahenaz (Chellano Z x Chatman), while Condon competed the 10-year-old Aristio (Arko III x Voltaire).

Eleven riders qualified for the jump-off and six of them cleared the shortened course. Third place went to French rider Alexis Deroubaix with Timon d'Aure (Mylord Carthago x Drakkar des Hutins) ahead of Belgium's Thierry Goffinet with Artuur JH Z (Andiamo x Baloubet du Rouet). Great Britain's Douglas Duffin with Quidam B Z (Quasimodo Z x Ramiro Z) finished fifth.
