Brazil’s Pedro Veniss and the 14-year-old gelding Nimrod de Muze Imperio Egipcio (Nabab de Reve x Tinka’s Boy) won Sunday’s CSI4* 1.55m Andalucía Grand Prix in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.
Crossing the finish line in 38.34 seconds in a jump-off between fourteen horse-and-rider combinations, the Brazilian pair took the win ahead of Niamh McEvoy (IRL) and Olympic ‘gl’ ‘fvd’ (Galisco van Paemel x Bengale) in second with a time of 38.60 seconds.
Melissa Garbail (FRA) and Dandy de l’Eyre (Iowa x Ephebe for Ever La Silla) placed third after the clock stopped on 38.63 for the French pair, while Kyle Timm (CAN) with Glamour du Chanu (L’Arc de Triomphe x Papillon Rouge) followed in fourth in 39.33 and Joe Whitaker (GBR) aboard Hulahupe JR (VDL Bubalu x Indoctro) in fifth in 39.52.
