Piergiorgio Bucci (ITA) and Cochello (Casall x Cartani 4) won Sunday’s CSI4* 1.50m Grand Prix in Vilamoura, Portugal.
A start field of 40 horse-and-rider combinations set out for the 1.50m track designed by Gregory Bodo (FRA). Six pairs cleared the first round and joined the deciding jump-off, where only three managed to produce another clear.
Piergiorgio Bucci and Cochello took home the win with a time of 35.04 seconds in the jump-off, while Finja Bormann (GER) on Clippo 3 (Casall x Lorentin I) took the runner-up position after the clocks stopped on 36.06. Juliette Faligot (FRA) on Arqana de Riverland (Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly) placed third with a time of 36.29 seconds, while one fence down for Alexander Kumps (BEL) on Luigi van de Kornelishoeve (Carabas Vd Wateringhoeve x Capital) in 36.79 seconds was good enough for fourth. Mathieu Billot (FRA) on Quel Filou 13 (Quidam's Rubin x Cascavelle) also had to see a pole down in the jump-off, leaving him on the fifth spot.
