The 2024-edition of Jumping International Saint Lô concluded on Sunday with the CSI4* 155m Grand Prix du Département de la Manche, where Belgium's Rik Hemeryck and the 10-year-old gelding Inoui du Seigneur (Jenson van'T Meulenhof x Aganix du Seigneur) took the top honours.
Twelve of the best 38 horse-and-rider combinations from the first round moved on to round two, but none of them managed to deliver a double clear. With one time penalty from the first round, and a clear in the second, Hemeryck and Inoui du Seigneur took the win with the lowest total score. Hemeryck was followed by the host nation’s own Penelope Leprevost and Ehning Flamingo (Cardento x Diamant de Semilly) in second with two penalties from round one, while Lorenzo de Luca (ITA) on Violino Il Palazetto (Verdi TN x Jasper) placed third with a total of four penalties recorded the first time out.
After a clear in round one, Jérôme Guery (BEL) and Careca LS Elite (Carusso LS La Silla x Rebozo La Silla) took the fourth spot after a pole fell in round two. This was also the case for Regis Bouguennec (FRA) and Firefox Gem (Chacco Rouge x Kannan) who finished fifth.
