Great Britain's Robert Murphy and the 12-year-old mare Hulde G (Vigo D Arsouilles STX x Warrant) took the top spot in Saturday's CSI4* 1.50m at the Longines Tops International Arena in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands.
Besting a field of 29 riders, Murphy posted a clear round in 71.31 seconds over Gregory Bodo's track. Murphy's compatriot Matt Sampson followed hot on his heels in 71.84 seconds, riding Fabrice DN ( Gelha's VDL Emilion x Baloubet du Rouet). The third place went to home hero Gerben Morsink riding Navarone Z (Nabab de Reve x Amor) to a time of 73.26 seconds, followed by compatriot Lars Kersten and Chuck Marienshof Z (Colestus x Emerald) in fourth, and USA's Laura Kraut and Dorado 212 (Tailormade Diarado's Boy x Chacco-Blue) in fifth.
“I'm super thrilled with my mare," Murphy said in a press release from Tops International Arena. "She actually won the 2* class here at the same show last year so I am really pleased with how she is progressing.”
“It is always a treat to jump on this arena here at LTIA and I certainly always try to bring my best horses as it really is an important part of their progression.”
