Switzerland’s Steve Guerdat, World #1 and winner of the 2019 FEI World CupTM Jumping Finals, is among a list of top international riders who will attend the preliminary week of the HUBSIDE SPRING TOUR, presented by title sponsor SFAM, beginning the 17-21 of April and continuing through the 25-28 of April 2019. The event will take place in a newly renovated facility in the village of Grimaud, on the picturesque French Riviera.

Nearly 60 athletes from more than 20 nations around the world will attend the HUBSIDE SPRING TOUR, helmed by French show jumper and successful businessman Sadri Fegaier. The first week will feature CSI3*, CSI2* and CSIYH1* classes, including four Longines ranking classes and a €100.000 Grand Prix. Week two will also include four, Longines ranking classes, along with CSI2* and CSI4* classes, and a €150.000 Grand Prix.

In addition to Steve Guerdat, the HUBSIDE SPRING TOUR rider’s list includes a strong French contingent, represented by three, Olympic team gold medalists: Roger Yves-Bost, Pénélope Leprevost, and Philippe Rozier; as well as two-time Olympian Patrice Delaveau. Riders from other nations include top-10 FEI World CupTM Jumping Finals competitor Max Kühner of Austria; Olympians Emanuele Gaudiano of Italy, Eduardo Menezes of Brazil, Romain Duguet of Switzerland, and many more.

The backdrop for two weeks of thrilling show jumping competition will be the sun-drenched commune of Grimaud, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, a true, hidden gem of the French Riviera. Just three miles from the equestrian facilities, the seaside town of Port of Grimaud, known as the “Little Venice of Provence” for its sparkling canals and brightly colored houses, is just one of the region’s many, unique attractions. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, Grimaud is renowned for its history and festivals, contemporary art galleries, scenic beaches, acclaimed golf courses, and coastal walking paths.

The HUBSIDE SPRING TOUR will take place in the former Ecurie du Golfe de Saint-Tropez, in a brand new, 120 x 70 competition arena, accompanied by a 100 x 50 warm-up ring. Course design will be provided by Andrea Colombo the first week-end and Uliano Vezzani the second week-end, with event direction orchestrated by General Manager Denis Monticolo and Sports Director Eleonora Ottaviani.

The 2019 HUBSIDE SPRING TOUR (17-21 April; 25-28 April) will kick off a year of exciting, international show jumping competition in Grimaud. It will be followed by three, international HUBSIDE JUMPING EVENTS in June, as well as the HUBSIDE FALL TOUR in late September.
