Cyrine Cherif (FRA) and the 10-year-old gelding Triple T Calamando Blue (Calmando x Chacco-Blue) won Sunday’s CSI5* 1.60m Grand Prix – a competition counting for the Longines Rankings Group AA – at the Al Shaqab Equestrian Centre in Doha, Qatar.
Sunday’s CSI5* Grand Prix concluded the Al Shaqab Cup 2026 – a part of the Doha Equestrian Tour 2026. As the only horse-and-rider combinations to jump clear over two rounds and a jump-off of two, Cherif and Triple T Calamando Blue topped a starting field of 17. The host nation’s Faleh Suwead Al Ajami on Wathnan Quatro (Jon Pleasure van de Mispelaere x Vancouver d’Auvray) had to settle for the runner-up spot with a fence down in the jump-off, while a single time penalty from the first round left Kristen Vanderveen (USA) with Bull Run’s Jireh (Uriko x Colman) to third.
Santiago Lambre (BRA) and Zeusz (Cartogran x Chacco-Blue) finished fourth carrying two penalties, followed by the fastest four-faulter, Gerfried Puck (AUT) aboard Equitron Naxcel V (Balou du Rouet x Landetto) in fifth.
