The Netherland's Gert-Jan Bruggink had a good weekend at the CSI2* event in Oldenburg, Germany. First he won Friday's feature class - and a car, before he repeated his victory in Sunday's Grand Prix making it two cars in total. Both wins came on Vampire (Marome x Voltaire).
Up against fourteen others in the jump-off, it was bound to be a fast affair - but Bruggink was in a league of his own with more than a second down to his compatriot Jur Vrieling on Carrera VDL (Cardento x Baloubet du Rouet). Home rider Jan Wernke secured third place on Queen Mary (Contendro I x Caretino), another second behind Vrieling.
The CSI2* Grand Prix in Mijas, Spain was dominated by home riders, with Carolina Aresu and Scara Mouche (Calvaro x Super de Bourriere) taking the top spot. In second place followed Paloma Jimenez Carmona on Providence (Provider x Rabino), who like Aresu was double clear although 0.44 seconds behind on the time. Belgium's Maxime Harmegnies took the third place on Forrest Gump 29 (Forsyth x Feuerwerk) with the final double clear of the day.
The CSI2* Grand Prix in Tortona, Italy had a podium with home riders only. Roberto Arioldi won on Loreena 3 (Leandro x Lamerto H), with almost two seconds down to Natale Chiaudani on Almero (Ast Spumante x Gajus). Also double clear was Bruno Chimirri on Tower Mouche (Diamant de Semilly x Bleu Blanc Rouge II), to take the third place.
