French rider Cedric Angot and Rubis de Preuilly (Diamant de Semilly x Lord) were victorious in Friday's 1.50 Big Tour Grand Prix qualifier at the Sunshine Tour. The class counted for the FEI Longines Ranking, and the first round track saw only five competitors going clear to move on to the jump-off that was dominated by British riders.
That did not stop Angot though, who won the class 0,7 seconds ahead of Pippa Allen and Hope Springs (Nagano x Qarco van het Graethemhof) in second and Harriet Nuttall riding A Touch Imperious (Touchdown x Cavalier Roylae) to third place. Two more Brits followed as fourth and fifth; Chloe Aston and Guy Williams
The competitions continue today with 12 more classes including the small GP counting for the FEI Longines Ranking. The CSI3* Grand Prix takes place on Sunday.
