Jan Wernke made it a home win at the Horses & Dreams event in Hagen on Thursday, when he went to the top in the 1.45 Preis der Hof Kasselmann KG. The 25 year old rider had partnered up with Queen Mary (Contendro I x Caretino), and produced a clear round in 65.86 seconds to finish 0.38 ahead of David Will on Lesthago (Levisto x Carthago). Third place went to Bruce Goodin on Centina (Cento x Argentinus).

“It was very important for me that it worked out today with Queen Mary, as she has had a longer break and with this got a great start to the season,” Wernke said following his win. Wernke now hopes for further good rounds in Hagen.
