Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Home Groom/Stable Manager to oversee daily care, organization, and management of the horses/staff and yard at home while the competition team travels.

Responsibilities:

·       Oversee the care and feeding of horses, ensuring their health and safety.

·       Manage a team of stable staff and assist with the training and scheduling of employees.

·       Ensure the stable is kept clean, organized, and well-maintained.

·       Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for daily stable operations.

·       Monitor the condition of horses, identifying any signs of illness or injury and coordinating with veterinarians as needed.

·       Manage and track inventory of feed, bedding, and other essential supplies.

·       Maintain records for horses, including health, feeding, and exercise logs.

·       Manage farrier

·       Liaise with trainers, riders and grooms to coordinate horse activities and schedules.

Requirements:

·       Proven experience in stable management or a related field.

·       Strong knowledge of horse care, behavior, and health.

·       Leadership skills and experience managing a team.

·       Excellent communication and organizational skills.

·       Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
