We, one rider/yard-owner (Rüdiger Renner) and one rider/trainer (Martin Schäufler), are looking for 2 grooms for our show-jumping stables situated 20 minutes west of Munich, Germany. 

The positions on offer are full-time and long-term.  We are looking for motivated people to become part of our small team of 3 grooms, responsible for the day to day care of 20 show-jumpers.  (We are looking to replace one temporary groom and one of our full-time grooms doesn’t like to go away to competitions).

Duties include general day-to-day yard management and care of the horse, including mucking out and grooming, clipping and lungeing,  as well as accompanying the 2 riders to national and international competitions up to CSI 2 star level as a show groom (approx. 15 competitions per year).  For this reason, the ability to turn out to a high standard is expected. 

If applicants are interested in riding and assuming a certain level of expertise, there is the opportunity to exercise 2-3 horses (incl. youngsters) per day on the flat. 

The ability to drive a lorry (Cat C license) would be of advantage for one of the applicants, but not strictly necessary.

A private apartment for each groom is provided on site free of cost.  Monthly net wages range from €1,300 to €1,500 (after deduction of tax and health insurance) according to experience and ability for a 6-day week.

The ability to speak German would of course be of advantage, but is not absolutely necessary.

Dog is allowed.
