With a whirlwind week behind them, the best show jumping riders in the world are making tracks to London, the historic capital of Great Britain, to experience the best of British.

The next stop for the equestrian superstars from the World Championships is the eleventh round of the Longines Global Champions Tour as the season gears up in spectacular fashion on the doorstep of the most famous landmarks the world has to offer. 

Stepping straight off the World Championship podium and into the historic arena at the spectacular Royal Chelsea Hospital, all eyes of the home crowd will be on the bronze medallist British team of seasoned competitors Scott Brash, Ben Maher, travelling reserve John Whitaker and young guns Harry Charles and Joe Stockdale after their impressive week securing team bronze.

Son of the late Tim Stockdale, Joseph Stockdale said: "I am so excited to be jumping at one of the most prestigious events of the year this week. It was an amazing week at the world championships but the whole team is all now looking forward to heading straight to London for the Globals - you can't beat jumping in front of a home crowd and in such an iconic location."

Veterans of the podium and newly crowned world champion Henrik Von Eckermann will also be competing for the title of LGCT Grand Prix of London, with the LGCT Grand Prix leader board standings evolving into a tight and ever competitive second half of the series. 

Poster boy of British show jumping Ben Maher currently sits in second position in the overall LGCT season championship on 182 points but all eyes on Super Saturday in London will be on leader of the tour Christian Ahlmann who is within reach at 210 points.

Lily Attwood is one of a hugely talented group of young guns both from the UK and around the world who are lighting up the show jumping scene as they dazzle on the LGCT individual and GCL team circuit. The thrilling story of the success of talented youngsters is inspiring show jumping fans around the world to aim high, work hard to achieve results to have a shot at the top level. Harry Charles, 23, currently 14th on the Longines world ranking, Jodie Hall Mcateer, 22, Jack Whitaker, 21, and Lily will be in the spotlight at the upcoming LGCT of London.

Before heading to his home event next week of LGCT Valkenswward, Miakel van der Vleuten will be leading the pack of international stars including Daniel Deusser, Jessica Springsteen, Gregory Wathelet, Gerrit Nieberg, Edwina Tops-Alexander, Niels Bruynseels, Pieter Devos, Olivier Philippaerts, Marlon Zanotelli and Max Kühner

Together the best riders in the world will battle it out, ensuring three days of edge-of-your-seat spectating and keeping us guessing as to whether history be rewritten in the lead up to the championship finale in Riyadh and the GC Prague Playoffs this November.

For the time, the Longines Global Champions Tour of London is to be set in the historic grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea – home to the world-renowned Chelsea Pensioners and the iconic RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
