Press release from Longines Global Champions Tour, edited by World of Showjumping
As the Longines Global Champions Tour returned to Germany for the 11th leg of the season, the opening day of five-star action at Riesenbeck International set the tone for an electrifying weekend of top sport. Friday's CSI5* 1.45m Prize of Four Seasons Private Residencies saw 47 horse-and-rider combinations take on a course designed by a team led by Frank Rothenberger (GER) and Peter Schumacher (GER).
Sweden’s Peder Fredricson and the 11-year-old SV Vroom de La Pomme Z (Vigo d'Arsouilles x Untouchable) stole the spotlight with a blistering round in 62.66 seconds, securing the win and €7,050 in prize money. The pair stopped the clock nearly two seconds faster than the early leaders Giulia Martinengo Marquet (ITA) and Coynor (Canstakko x Toulon), who had to settle for second in 64.54.
Hot on their heels, the flying Frenchman Simon Delestre and Nascar van't Siamshof (Emilion x Voltaire) placed third in 65.31, while Brazil’s Yuri Mansur and Incanto VDL (Kannan x Indoctro) claimed fourth and Denmark’s Zascha Nygaard piloted Miss Kanilvia PS (Messenger x Kannan) into fifth.
