This week, the Longines Global Champions Tour moves on to Rome, Italy, for the 14th stop of its 2025-season with the iconic Circus Maximus as its backdrop.
On the entry list are big names including the tour's overall leader Gilles Thomas (BEL), 2024 Olympic Champion and current world no. four Christian Kukuk (GER), as well as double world champion Henrik von Eckermann (SWE). Riders such as Martin Fuchs (SUI), Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) are also entered for Rome, and they will all be up against a strong squad of home riders which includes Piergiorgio Bucci, Giulia Martinengo Marquet and Riccardo Pisani – to mention only a few.
With only three stages left of the 2025 LGCT season, the title is about to be decided. Gilles Thomas currently holds the lead on 261 points, while Christian Kukuk sits second on 206 points, and Andreas Schou third on 182 points.
