The final day of the Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping / Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris 2026 continued to deliver world-class sport as Luxembourg's Victor Bettendorf and Encore Toi du Linon (Kannan x Desir du Chateau) claimed a spectacular victory in the CSI5* 1.55m Eiffel Challenge presented by Région Ile-De-France.
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Eiffel Tower and in front of packed grandstands, Bettendorf and the outstanding Encore Toi du Linon produced a flawless performance to top a star-studded field and bring another memorable chapter to an unforgettable weekend in the French capital.
"It means so much," said an emotional Bettendorf after his victory. "I lived in France for six years, so in many ways this feels like a home show for me. There is no background like the Eiffel Tower in Paris. It is a once-in-a-lifetime show here, I think a lot of riders would dream to compete here and I was lucky enough to win here so it is just a perfect weekend. To win here in one of the most iconic arenas in our sport is incredibly special. Having my wife, my owner, my groom and my whole team means a lot to all of us. The crowd have been so supportive all week and there is always a very special atmosphere here."
Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and Hylanderhof’s Saruschka (Stakkato Gold x Baloubet du Rouet) took the runner-up spot, followed by Philipp Weishaupt (GER) and Lady Concern du Rezidal (Emerald x Quidam de Revel) in third, Lillie Keenan (USA) on Highway TN (Eldorado vd Zeshoek x Chellano) in fourth and Olivier Perreau (FRA) aboard Himalaya du Temple (Toulon x Radieux) in fifth.
